As water travels from the water company to a business, air builds up in the pipes. Since water meters measure total volume, both air and water, this air causes the blade in the meter to turn faster than just water alone. Therefore, the end-user is paying for air as well as water volume, costing a large amount of money every year. In fact, up to 40% of a water bill’s total cost can be comprised of air.

The patent-pending design of the Airless Water Valve works in all single-jet, multi-jet and turbine category positive displacement water meters. This precision engineered, mechanical valve compresses the air traveling in water to a smaller volume.
